چکیده

We consider dynamical and quasi-static thermoelastic contact problems in R modeling the evolution of temperature and displacement in an elastic body that may come into contact with a rigid foundation. The existence of solutions to these dynamical and quasi-static nonlinear problems and the exponential stability are investigated using a penalty method. Interior smoothing effects in the quasi-static case are also discussed.

Finite Element Analysis of Coupled Thermoelasticity

Most thermal stress analyses assume that the determination of the temperature field is uncoupled from that of the stress and displacement fields, while assuming that the stress and displacement fields depend on the temperature field. This semi-coupled approach to thermoelasticity is not entirely consistent. In this paper the governing equations for the fully coupled theory of thermoelasticity a...

The solution of elasticity problems for the half-space by the method of Green and Collins

The paper reviews the method of complex potential functions developed by Green and Collins as applied to axisymmetric mixed boundary value problems in elasticity for the half-space. It is shown how the method can be applied to problems in several coupled potential functions such as adhesive and frictional contact problems, to problems involving annular regions and to problems in thermoelasticit...

Numerical method, existence and uniqueness for thermoelasticity system with moving boundary

In this work, we are interested in obtaining existence, uniqueness of the solution and an approximate numerical solution for the model of linear thermoelasticity with moving boundary. We apply finite element method with finite difference for evolution in time to obtain an approximate numerical solution. Some numerical experiments were presented to show the moving boundary’s effects for problems...
